READY?

Are You Ready for Love?

Author Unknown

(Edited)

A good relationship isn't a game you play or an ego trip you take. It is about love
and two people. Loving someone can give us the greatest joy we can ever know and
it can hurt more than we can believe too. When it does not really hurt when that
person did something disappointing to you, but really hurts when you see that
person in pain and sadness, then you know you truly love that person.

Loving someone means you should be ready to experience heartache and happiness at
the same time. That's the reward and that's the risk. Unless we are willing to
experience it, we will never really know what it's like to love and be loved.

Sharing love is probably the most valuable and meaningful experience a person
can ever have. And there's a difference between being in love with someone and
loving someone. It's the difference between a love that's fickle, wild and
short-lived and one that's tender and passionate, nurturing and lasts a long time.
The first is easy. The second, the one that really matters to all of us, takes
work -- because it's about keeping a relationship.

Loving someone takes efforts. We have to be able to communicate with each other.
Nobody can read anyone else's mind. We always presume that our partner knows what
we think and feel. Maybe in time we might be able to predict or sense each other's
thoughts but it's never perfect and takes time to develop.

Getting the chance to love and be loved by someone is blessed. Respect
him/her for who he/she is, and not what you want him/her to be. Everyone
is pretty and special in his/her own special way. No one is perfect. It is
true love which closes the gap of imperfectness to form a smooth surface
of acceptance for each other. True love sees and accepts a person for who
he/she is. It is also true love which makes a person change for the better.

The power of true love to a person is undeniable.

A relationship needs commitments too. What is love without commitments
from each other anyway? It's like principles and values. Everyone has
them but they only mean as much as we are willing to stand for them.

The same goes for our commitments to relationships, and the person we love.

"Love is like an antique vase. It's hard to find, hard to get, but easy to break."

Every day everywhere, people fall in love...but just how many of these
relationships are self-sacrificing love, and not just relationships
which are formed only for the intense feeling of falling in love?
I know hundreds of friends who say the magical words "I love you"...
but more often than not, the truth is just -- I am IN love with you.
There is a difference between being in love with someone and loving
someone. If a person says he/she is in love with you, he/she means
that he/she likes you for who you are now and he/she fell in love
with you because of the present you.

This kind of love is temporary and lasts only as long as the fairytale lasts.
When fairy godmother comes in at midnight to whirl us back to reality, we see
the heartache of such a relationship...where both were only IN love with each other.

But if a person says he/she loves you, he/she means that he/she
loves you unconditionally for who you are now, who you were in
the past and who you might be in the future. When he/she says he/she
loves you and really means it, you have to ask yourself if you love
him/her too or if you're in love with the idea of being in love.

Let us be guided by the Lord (THE LOVE HIMSELF) in this.

A love so sweet

"You keep tack of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in Your book."
Psalm 56:8

Lord, You are soooo sweet... I know that you know everything that I'm been through and will be going through, but it amazed me when I learned that You really keep a track of them... I may have a journal of myself, tracking almost everything about me but i think I can't do it for someone else even how much I love that person, because only You can... No one else can love us like You do. You love and care so much....

BIG

There is a BIG difference between a DREAMER and someone with BIG DREAMS.
BIG DREAMS are for people who get up and follow them.
While the DREAMER keeps sleeping...

the problem?

Few days ago, I heard my former workmate sharing her problem to our senior nurse. I learned that she is having a hard time moving on from her break up with his long distance boyfriend. she broke up with him just a month ago. This lady used to be jolly and blooming, but now she's quite different. her looks cannot deny that she was depressed.

Recently, I also learned that one of our classmates in high school has been struggling because of a broken seven-year relationship with her boyfriend. I was saddened all the more when I learned that some friends of mine in the family of Christ are having a hard time because of the thing they call "love".

It's not yet february, we're still on our way to christmas season yet "love" seems to be the issue in the air. I think this proves that love is not just for valentines day its for everyday. Love seemed to be the problem... was it? If so, is it still love?

I thought I knew what love is. I even thought that I loved so well. And it was so humiliating to know that I knew nothing about it. Yes, it was humiliating, nevertheless I will never regret that I was humiliated rather than never realizing the truth. It was when I personally met the LOVE HIMSELF that I truly understood and experienced it.

Love is such a wonderful thing. 1 Corinthians 13 says that love is patient and kind. It is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable and it keeps no record of being wronged. As described, love cannot cause indifference, heartaches and tears but rather peace, hope and joy.

I believe anyone among us will really have a hard time in this thing called love if we haven't met LOVE HIMSELF and if we try to do things our way rather than allowing LOVE HIMSELF to do HIS way through us.

"i'm getting married"

Thank you Lord for the success of YR "i'm getting married".

Thank you for covenant that I have with you. Help me to stay within the bounds of it.
Thank You for the joy that you have given me. It is not your will for me to be happy but rather to be joyful.
Thank You for Your precious blood that is so powerful in my life.

conquest

This morning when I was having my devotional time, the Lord Himself told me that I need to have a mindset of conquest. It has to be so because it is His will for me to conquer. He designed me to be a conqueror. I need to conquer myself, my disciples and the multitudes around me. God's will for us is so great but they become limited because of our unbelief and average thinking.

Thank You Lord for giving me a spirit and mindset of a conquest.

a different season

Few days ago, I was challenged to do something in the last 2 months of this year... I knew it will not be easy but i was sure it will be rewarding... yesterday was the first day, and it was a wonderful beginning. I had a great time with the Lord and he welcomed me in a new and different season of my life.

I used to be happy being single but never as happy as I am right now. Nothing changed with my status but with my relationship with the Lord.... a big YES... God is teaching me right now how to be more intimate with Him. He is making me excited to know Him more... I learned that there is more, I just have to avail it. I'm enjoying this season because I'm having more time with Him and I love dating with Him.

*Thank You Lord! You are the best.
